This photo, taken by me, showcases the natural wildlife that can be seen in Las Vegas. There are many species of birds in the city, and this ladder-backed woodpecker is one of the many you can see in your own backyard. This woodpecker uses its specially adapted head and beak to extract bugs and their larva from trees, and there are many species of woodpeckers in Nevada.
