Her feathers are warm and soft
insulate me in the cold
Like the sun’s rays
Her feathers are tough and strong
Protect me from thorns and bruises
Like a tree’s trunk
Her feathers pick me up in the sky
Takes me to where I need to be
Like the wind and a leaf
Her feathers display love and beauty
Makes me feel at home
Like a mother.
